When we dare to give

He was in the aisle seat of the very last row.

Arms and legs crossed.

His bushy, gray eyebrows furrowed.

As I took the small stage and looked out over the 100 or so people, I couldn’t help but notice him and the intensity of his focus on me.

He looked…

disgusted.

I took a deep breath, silently affirmed my willingness to allow love to speak through me and gave my presentation with my whole heart.

At the end of the hour, I exited the stage, and people approached me.

He approached me…

As he stepped forward, he began to thank me for what had been a very transformational experience for him.

I had guided the group through my process for accessing intuitive guidance, and he had received some much needed insight.

He told me of his plans to take action and thanked me again.

It was one of those moments that you don’t forget.

One of those moments where you realize your stories are just…stories.

As intuitive as I am, all I could feel was his aura of intensity.

In my own nervousness to take the stage, I interpreted this intensity as personal rejection.

It never occurred to me that he was there with me, open hearted and receiving exactly what he came to receive.

Nor that he was there, open hearted and giving exactly what he came to give…to me and now to you as you read this all these years later.

You just never know who is sitting in the back, watching, taking it all in and growing because you dared to show up and share from your heart.

It’s not reflected in “likes” and comments.

It’s not even necessary reflected back in their faces and body language.

But what is on your heart to give is there BECAUSE others are in need of your brilliance, your perspective, your medicine.

Trust your heart and give all you have to give with all the love that you are.
